How to calculate it

Add the digits of your birth day, your birth month and the current year, then reduce to a single digit. Example: born on 15 August, in 2027. Day 15 gives 1+5 = 6. Month August is 8. Year 2027 gives 2+0+2+7 = 11, and 1+1 = 2. Total 6 + 8 + 2 = 16, and 1+6 = 7. So this person is in personal year 7.

Your personal year changes on 1 January in most numerology systems (some count from your birthday).

Personal month and day

For the month, add the calendar month number to your personal year and reduce. For the day, add the date to your personal month and reduce. Zastrolo shows your personal number for today on the home screen every morning.

What each year means

Year 1: new beginnings. Start projects, take the lead, plant seeds for nine years. Year 2: patience and partnership. Slow growth, cooperation, relationships. Year 3: expression and joy. Creativity, social life, visibility. Year 4: hard work and foundations. Discipline, health habits, building. Year 5: change and freedom. Travel, moves, new people, surprises. Year 6: home and responsibility. Family, marriage, caring, beautifying home. Year 7: reflection and study. Inner growth, research, rest; avoid forcing. Year 8: power and results. Career, money and recognition for past effort. Year 9: completion. Endings, letting go and clearing space for the next cycle.

A second worked example

Born on 29 March, looking at 2026. Day 29 gives 2+9 = 11, and 1+1 = 2. Month March is 3. Year 2026 gives 2+0+2+6 = 10, and 1+0 = 1. Total 2 + 3 + 1 = 6. This person is in a personal year 6: a year centred on home, family and responsibility.

Personal year and life path together

Your life path is the long road; your personal year is the season on that road. A Life Path 1 person in a personal year 7 may feel restless because their nature wants action while the year asks for reflection. Knowing both helps you plan wisely instead of fighting the year.

Planning by personal year

Starting a business: best in a 1, or an 8 for scaling up. Marriage or partnership: 2 or 6. Moving home or abroad: 5, or a 4 for buying property. Study and courses: 7 or 3. Career push and promotions: 8. Ending what is not working: 9. These are traditional guidelines to use alongside your real situation.

How the cycle repeats

Every nine years the cycle starts again, so if you are in a 9 now, a fresh 1 begins next year. Many people notice that big turning points, such as new jobs, moves and new relationships, cluster around their personal years 1 and 5. Track your own years for a while and see what patterns you notice.

Using it wisely

Personal years describe the general tone of a year, not fixed events. Use them for planning: start big things in a 1 year, sign partnerships in a 2 or 6, push career in an 8, and finish and let go in a 9.
