Zastrolo guide
Find your nakshatra by date of birth
Your nakshatra is the lunar mansion the Moon was in when you were born. Zastrolo calculates it, with the pada (quarter), from your birth details.

The zodiac is divided into 27 nakshatras of 13°20′ each, from Ashwini to Revati. Each is split into four padas. Your birth nakshatra is a key part of a Vedic reading and of naming and matching traditions.
What tradition says
Classic Vedic astrology describes a person for each Moon nakshatra. For example, those born in Pushya are described as self-controlled, learned and generous, and those in Swati as mild, kind and skilled in trade.
Why the time matters
The Moon moves through a nakshatra in about a day, so the birth time decides your nakshatra on days when the Moon changes star.
